A suspicious person arrested, gun and cartridge recovered from near the Capitol Building

A West Virginia man who disagreed with the outcome of the presidential election in the US has been arrested in suspicious condition near the Capitol Building (House of Parliament). The man was walking near the Capitol building and pistols and ammunition were recovered from his car. Officials gave this information on Thursday.

Dennis Warren Westover (71) of South Charleston was detained on Wednesday. He is accused of possessing a pistol without license, possessing ammunition, and unlawfully possessing a weapon. The US Capitol Police said in a statement that an officer saw the car parked at an intersection in Washington DC on Wednesday while the driver of the car was walking on a road near the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial nearby.

According to a police report filed in court, shouted at members of the National Guards within the enclosure of the Westover Capital Building. According to the records kept in the court, he told the arresting officer that I want to see the fencing imposed near my capital building. A pistol and 20 rounds of bullets were found within Westover’s vehicle. Supporters of former President Donald Trump created a ruckus at the Capitol Building on 6 January.
