Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and alleged that the Trinamool Congress government in the state operates on the three-models ‘tolabaji’, ‘dictatorship’ and ‘appeasement’.

Shah exuded confidence that Mamata Banerjee would be defeated in the Nandigram seat. In this seat of Purbi Medinipur district, Mamta faces her former colleague and BJP candidate Shubhendu Adhikari.

Describing cross-border infiltration as the biggest problem for the North Bengal region, the Union Home Minister promised that if the BJP comes to power in the state, it will completely stop illegal immigration from neighboring Bangladesh.

Shah claimed that the Trinamool government has done injustice to the North Bengal region. He also promised that the BJP would spend Rs 2,000 crore every year for the development of North Bengal and establish AIIMS to cater to the medical needs of the people in the region.

At an election rally at Sitalkuchi in Cooch Behar district, near the Indo-Bangladesh border, Amit Shah said that cross-border infiltration is the biggest problem in North Bengal. The TMC government will never stop it, only we can stop it. He said that Mamata Banerjee runs the state government on the model of Three T – ‘Tolabaji’, ‘dictatorship’ and ‘appeasement’.

Expressing confidence of coming to power in the state with a huge mandate, Shah said that we are winning the first two phases of the elections (in the elections held on March 27 and April 1). Mamta didi is losing in Nandigram.
The fourth phase of polling in the seats of Cooch Behar district will be held on April 10. Elections will be held in eight phases in the state. The results of all the seats in the 294-member assembly will be declared on May 2.
