April Fools’ Day is mainly celebrated in western countries on the first of April, every year. It is also often referred to as All Fools Day. On April Fools’ Day, people crack hilarious jokes to friends, their family members, or loved ones and no one considers such jokes bad but laughs and enjoys. The specialty of this day is that the person who becomes a victim of laughter is named April Fool.
There are different ways of celebrating it in different countries of the world. In many countries, it is also a holiday. April Fools’ Day, when people joke with each other, make them stupid, and then laugh at them will be celebrated on Friday this year.
The first day of the month of April has its own charm. On April Fools’ Day, people enjoy the jokes made by their friends, siblings, family members, and colleagues. It is believed that in the year 1381, Fool’s Day was celebrated for the first time on April 1. Indeed, King Richard II of England and Queen Anne of Bohemia announced the engagement and it was said that the engagement would take place on March 32, 1381. The general public was so happy with this announcement that they started celebrating. However, later they realized that they have been fooled, because no such date as March 32 exists. It is believed that since then 1st of April every year is observed as April Fools’ Day.
April Fools’ Day is also associated with the spring equation. Here’s the idea – it’s the first day of spring (especially in the Northern Hemisphere). This is the time when nature fools people with its changing shapes and colors.
