Bentley University was established in 1917. It was founded by Harry C. Bentley who also the President of the school till 1953. The university was earlier known as the Bentley School of Accounting and Finance.
President Morison later shifted the college from Boylston College in Boston to Waltham in Massachusetts. The college got accreditation to start bachelor’s degree classes in 1971 and graduate degrees in 1973. The school changed its name from Bentley College to Bentley University in 2008.
