The Bihar cabinet approved the proposal of the Home Department to increase the minimum age limit of the state police service from the present 20 years to 21 years. Earlier the minimum age for the posts of Graduate Level of Police Service was 21 years. Now the minimum age has been reduced to 21 years, making everyone equal.

With this, the state government has made the recruitment process more clear on the basis of contract. Through this, the contract will be appointed on the approved posts only. The qualifications required for appointment on the contract will remain the same as the permanent posts and it will be mandatory to follow the roster. Apart from this, students of class 1 to 12 of government schools of Bihar will now get ready school uniforms.

Taking important decisions under the dress scheme, the Government of Bihar has entrusted the responsibility of preparing them to the Jeevika Group. For this, clothes will be purchased from Khadi Handloom and Pavloom, after which Jeevika Dadi will prepare them. For this, Education Department, Finance Department, Rural Development Department and Industries Department will form a plan.

The budget session of the state assembly will be held from February 19 to March 24. As per the decision taken in the cabinet meeting on January 19, 2021, the session will begin with the joint address of the Governor. The Economic Survey Report will be laid on the Table of the House on the same day. The budget for fiscal 2021-22 will be presented on 22 February. The debate on the Governor’s address will be held on the same day, followed by the government’s response on 23 February. The supplementary budget will be presented on 24 February.
