Donald Trump Calls for “Unified Reich” Invoking Nazi Germany in a Video

On Monday, a video posted on former President Donald Trump’s social media account went viral, becoming the talk of the town.

Among other hypothetical news headlines, the video also involved references to a “unified Reich” regarding his possibility of winning the election in November.

Among other messages, the headline of the video flashes across the screens with “Trump wins!!” and “Economy booms!”

Moreover, other headlines could also be spotted in the video giving references to World War I.

For those unversed, the term “Reich” is predominantly associated with Nazi Germany’s Third Reich.

However, the term associated with Donald Trump’s video seemed like a reference to the creation of a “modern pan-German nation.” It was done in 1871 by unifying relatively smaller states into an empire or a single Reich.

The entire duration of the video was only 30 seconds. However, this video appeared at a time “when the presumptive Republican nominee for president, while seeking to portray President Joe Biden as soft on antisemitism, has himself repeatedly faced criticism for using language and rhetoric associated with Nazi Germany.”

One of the headlines 30-second video seems like it was copied from an entry on World War I from Wikipedia. It read, “German industrial strength and production had significantly increased after 1871, driven by the creation of a unified Reich.”

In another image, headlines appear as “15 Million Illegal Aliens Deported” and “Border Is Closed.”

Circumstances Surrounding the Video

The video was posted on Donald Trump’s Truth Social account when he was enjoying a lunch break from his Manhattan hush money trial. Later, the video went viral all over X, formerly Twitter.

Campaign secretary of the former President said, “It was created by a random account online.”

Karoline Leavitt, the Campaign secretary added, “This was not a campaign video, it was created by a random account online and reposted by a staffer who clearly did not see the word, while the President was in court.”

Earlier this month, referring to the secret Nazi police force, Donald Trump at a fundraiser said that POTUS, Biden, is operating a “Gestapo administration.”

Trump also invaded the media headlines when he regarded the illegal immigrants entering the U.S. “poisoning the blood of our country;” meanwhile regarding his opponents as “vermin.”
