A terrorist has been killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Rakhama village of the district after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists.

The operation turned into an encounter as the terrorists opened fire on the security forces. The security forces also gave a befitting reply to the firing. One terrorist has been killed in the encounter and the operation is still on.
