Indian Players Take Injections Instead of Painkillers to Stay Fit, says Chetan Sharma

In the video, Sharma can be heard saying: “Indian cricketers don’t consume painkillers, but instead use injections to attain optimum fitness. They consult their personal doctors to use non-doping injections for quick recovery from injuries.”

“If they take painkillers it will come in the doping test. They are aware of the injections which can’t be identified in a doping test. When they aren’t fit they take injections to show that they’re fit. Players are ready to play even at 80% fitness.” he added.

About Jasprit Bumrah’s Fitness

In the sting operation, Sharma was also asked about indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah’s back injury, to which he replied, “Jasprit Bumrah was unable to bend as he had a major injury other than that there are one or two players who take injections in private and they are fit to play.”

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have ego problems

When asked about Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma‘s controversial bonding, Sharma said, “There is no fight between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, but there is arrogance. Both are like big film stars, you can say, Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra.”

Sourav Ganguly didn’t like Virat Kohli – Chetan Sharma

Speaking on the relationship between ex-BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli, he said, “Ganguly did not favor Rohit, but he never liked Virat.”

Chetan Sharma added: “Virat Kohli felt that he lost the captaincy because of Ganguly. There were 9 people in the video conference of the selection committee when Virat told them that he wanted to step down from captaincy, and Ganguly told him, “Think about it once”. I think Kohli didn’t hear it or lied when he was asked about this by the media.”

Sharma further added that it’s wrong for any player to take on the BCCI president.

“When a conflict happens between a player and a president it is very dangerous because it becomes players versus BCCI then. Who was right and who was wrong, we can see that later, but it is a direct attack on the BCCI and the player only stands to lose in that case.”

“What will happen is that they will all come together even if the president is wrong, it’s a matter of the chair.”

“When a player becomes a little big, he thinks he is very big, bigger than the Board and he believes no one can touch him. Without me, Indian cricket won’t work. Has this ever happened?”

“Many big players have come and gone but cricket is still there. So that time he tried to directly target the BCCI president but Ganguly had never told me all that, so that came a big issue.” Chetan Sharma concluded.
