The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC exam) announced the cancellation of the written examinations held on 9 and 10 January, claiming to have leaked the question papers for about 700 posts of Gram Sevaks. Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that it has come to the notice of the government that question papers and answer keys have been found on mobile devices in some private colleges and other institutions. Haryana Staff Selection Commission has decided to cancel the written examination. A notice issued by the Commission stated.
Chautala stated that “It is notified for the information of all the candidates who had given the examination held on 09.01.21 (morning and evening shift) and 10.01.21 (morning and evening shift) have now been canceled. The inconvenience is regrettable. Our effort is to appoint only qualified candidates. ” Meanwhile, Congress General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala alleged that by canceling the written examination, the state government has accepted “dishonesty”. Surjewala said that about 10 lakh people participated in this examination and said that every candidate appearing in the examination should pay compensation of Rs 5,000 to the state government. Haryana Congress chief Selja Kumari alleged that by canceling the gram sabha examination, the state government admitted that “cheating” had been done in the case.
