Relations between India and Pakistan seem to be improving. It seemed from the events of the past that the Economic Co-ordination Council of Pakistan has now approved importing cotton and Fibre made from India. This report has been given by sources from Reuters. Prior to this, PM Modi wrote a letter to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and from there came a counter letter to Imran Khan.

On 23 March, PM Modi sent a letter to Imran on the occasion of ‘Pakistan Day’. After this, on 30 March, Imran Khan responded by writing that ‘Pakistan also wants peaceful relations with its neighbors including India’.

Khan wrote in his letter, “We believe that peace and stability in South Asia requires the resolution of all pending issues between India and Pakistan, especially the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.”

Khan admitted that it is necessary to create the right environment for ‘constructive and negotiated results’.

Time to forget the past and move forward: Pakistan Army Chief
On March 19, Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that ‘it is time for India and Pakistan to forget the past and move forward. He said that peace between the two neighboring countries will help in opening up the possibilities of development in South and Central Asia.

General Bajwa while addressing the Islamabad security talks said that the possibility of regional peace and development due to disputes has always been hostage due to unresolved issues. He said, “I believe it is time to forget the past and move forward.”
