A team of UP Police has left to shift Mukhtar Ansari from Ropar Jail in Punjab to Banda Jail in UP. A team of about 100 policemen with 2 COs has left for this, along with a truck PAC is also included. The Punjab government in its letter had asked the UP government to take care of Ansari’s health while shifting. In such an ambulance, the team of the health department will also be present along with the senior doctor.

Mukhtar Ansari to be placed in Quarantine, security increased

Before bringing Banda jail, Ansari’s medical checkup can also be done in Punjab. On reaching Banda jail, RT-PCR test will be done and then kept in the cell in quarantine.

Chitrakoot Inspector General K. Sathyanarayana said that “security has been increased in the jail. Also, additional force will be deployed in the main gate and surrounding areas of the jail. Apart from this, high alert has been put on in Banda and adjoining districts.” All hotels and guest houses will also be monitored. “

The Supreme Court ordered on 26 March

Explain that on March 26, the Supreme Court had ordered the Punjab government to hand over Mukhtar Ansari to Uttar Pradesh Police within 2 weeks. After this, the Home and Justice Department of the Punjab government wrote a letter to Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Awasthi on 3 April to make suitable arrangements to hand over Mukhtar Ansari to the Uttar Pradesh Police before 8 April.
