Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called out an inquiry against officers in Noida Supertech illegal twin tower case according to media reports. The chief minister also asked officers to register a criminal case against guilty officers if needed.

The Supreme Court ordered the demolition of the Noida Supertech twin tower yesterday, over violation of building bye-laws in Supertech’s Emerald Court housing project in Noida Sector 93.

The top court asked to raze the towers within three months for violation of building norms. Also said that illegal construction has to be dealt with strictly with the rule of law. 

The Supreme Court yesterday also ordered the real estate developer Supertech to refund the money of flat owners with a 12 per cent rate of interest within the next two months. The construction of the illegal twin towers which has around 1,000 flats. Within the first two months towers will be razed and also the demolition process has to be completed within three months by Supertech at their own cost.

In Uttarpradesh earlier Allahabad High Court ordered the demolition of two 40-storey twin towers– Apex and Ceyane — in Noida in 2014.
