After nearly 20 years, the US military has leaves Bagram Airfield, which was once the center of the war to overthrow the Taliban and the capture of al-Qaeda conspirators responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attack in the US.

US officials said the bagram airfield has been completely handed over to the “Afghan National Security and Defense Forces“. One official said the powers and capabilities to defend the forces are still held by the top US commander in Afghanistan, General Austin S. Miller has it.

The withdrawal of the Bagram Airfield by the US is a clear indication that the last American soldiers left in Afghanistan have left or are about to leave. The work comes days ahead of President Joe Biden’s goal of a complete withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan by September 11.
