According to the Hindu calendar, Navami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month is starting from 08.30 am on Wednesday, June 08. This date is valid till 08.21 am on Thursday, June 09, the next day. In such a situation, according to Udaya date, Mahesh Navami will be celebrated on 09 June.

This year Mahesh Jayanti is in Ravi Yoga and on 09 June this yoga remains for the whole day. In such a situation, you can worship Mahesh Jayanti on this day from early morning.

Worship Method Of Mahesh Navami

On Mahesh Jayanti, after having bath etc., you worship Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is sanctified on this day. He is offered Gangajal, flowers, Bel leaves etc. Also, on this day Shiva Linga is specially worshipped.

Lord Shiva has many names, some call him Mahadev, some call him Bholanath or innocent and some call him Trinetra. One of the popular names of Shiva is ‘Mahesh’.
