Ronan Hughes admitted manslaughter and conspiring to help illegal immigration

A person has admitted manslaughter after the deaths of 39 Vietnamese migrants present in a lorry container in Essex.

The lads, ladies and youngsters have been found in a refrigerated trailer on 23 October in Grays.

Haulier Ronan Hughes, 40, of County Armagh, Northern Eire, admitted manslaughter and conspiring to help illegal immigration on the Previous Bailey.

A second man, Eamonn Harrison, 23, of Mayobridge, County Down, denied 39 costs of manslaughter.

He additionally pleaded not responsible to conspiring to help illegal immigration and faces a trial in October.
