Biggest Aero Show in Bengaluru, glimpse of self-Reliant India

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the 3-day Aero India show in Bengaluru on Wednesday. Through the new planes, weapons and technology, the show will have a glimpse of self-Reliant India.

The main attractions of the aircraft exhibition were ‘Suryakiraan’ aircraft and ‘Sarang’ helicopters. Tejas, Rafael, Sukhoi, Jaguar won hearts in fly past. Presented the B-1B Lancer Heavy Bomber ‘Fly By’ of the 28th Bomb Wing of the Elworth Airforce Base in South Dakota.

At the ceremony, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that we plan to spend $ 130 billion on modernization of defense sector in the next 7 to 8 years.

PM Modi tweeted, ‘India has unlimited potential in the field of defense and aerospace. Aero India is a wonderful platform for cooperation in these areas. The Government of India has made future improvements in these areas which will give a boost to our efforts to become self-reliant.

In view of the coronavirus pandemic, only 3 thousand visitors have been allowed at the site of the exhibition of aircraft in a day. 601 companies are participating in the event. Of these, 523 are Indians and 78 are foreigners. Representatives of 14 countries are also participating in it.

In this, the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) will showcase its modern defense technology and systems.
