Sriharsha Majetti completed their engineering studies from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, and Rahul has completed his studies from IIT Kharagpur.
Sriharsha Majety first Startup
After his engineering, Sriharsha worked in a bank for about one year, but he always wanted to be an entrepreneur. So he quit his job in a bank and collaborated with friend Nandan Reddy for their first startup named “Bundl”. It was a Logistics Company. But the company didn’t work well and they has to quit it in 2014.
Swiggy
After the failure of his logistics company “Bundl,” Majetti started doing more research. In August 2014 he started Swiggy. He had only five boys as a delivery boy during the initial days of Swiggy.
Accel and SAIF Partners funded 2million Rs to Swiggy. It was their first biggest investment. In 2015, they received funding from 2 Venture Capitals. By 2015 Swiggy was attached with more than 100 restaurants and was delivering more than 70,000 orders.
They also raised $80 million in a Series E round of funding driven by Naspers.

In July 2021, Swiggy raised 1.25 billion USD and the valuation of the company was at 5.5 billion USD which is around 40000 Cr in INR. Sriharsha Majety’snet worth is around an INR 2000 crores. There were also news reports claiming that Swiggy was in talks to raise USD 500 million valuing the company at 10 billion USD.
