Sita Navami 2022: Sita Navami has a lot of importance in Hinduism. According to religious beliefs, Mother Sita was born on the ninth date of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. Sita Navami means the birth anniversary of Mother Sita.

Each year Sita Navami is observed on the ninth day of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. Sita Navami happens  a month after Ram Navami. Sita ji was revealed on Vaishakh Shukla Navami date, hence it is known as Janaki Jayanti or Sita Navami. This time 10th May 2022, Tuesday is the ninth date of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month.

This day is is considered very auspicious. It is a rare coincidence and worshiping Lord Rama along with Goddess Sita brings prosperity and happiness to the family. Sita Navami Pooja Method

  • On this day, wake up early in the morning and retire from bath etc.
  • Clean the temple of the house.
  • Light the lamp after cleaning the temple.
  • Anoint the deities with Ganga water.
  • Pray invoking the grace of Mother Sita.
  • Pray to Lord Rama, Mother Sita’s husband
  • If you can fast, then take the vow of fasting.
  • On this day do aarti of Mother Sita and Lord Rama.
  • Give offerings to Lord Rama and Mother Sita. Keep in mind that only sattvik or pure things are offered to God.
  • On this holy day worshiping Hanuman is also considered very auspicious
