Ambika Rao, A Malayalam Actor, Passes Away At 58, Out Of Heart Attack

Ambika Rao, a well-known Malayalam actor & assistant director best remembered for her role in “Kumbalangi Nights,” went unexpectedly on Monday evening (June 27) following a heart arrest. She was 58. According to sources, Ambika passed away at a government clinic in Ernakulam at approximately 10.30 p.m. According to reports, she was receiving treatment for COVID-19.

As an associate director on Balachandra Menon’s 2002 film “Krishna Gopalakrishna,” Ambika Rao made her debut in the film industry. She has been employed in the entertainment business for almost 20 years and has served as an associate producer for films starring Mammootty, including “Rajamanikyam,” “Thommanum Makkalum,” and “Vellinakshathram.” She has also appeared in other films, including the huge hit “Meesha Madhavan,” which stars Dileep. “Salt and Pepper,” “Anuraga Karikkin Vellam,” “Thamasha,” and “Vellam” are recent releases.
