Noida latest news

As per reports, almost every year lot of accidents occur on the expressway, especially during winter. After conducting an enquiry it was found that excess speed along with dense winter fog was the reason behind the mishappenings around Noida expressway. Most of the time, these vehicles ram into stationary cars because they can’t operate at high speeds. Although the expressway is equipped with speeding cameras, the problem is the speed of the cars is not properly regulated.

In order to avoid any further accidents, the expressway officials have now decided to lower the speed limit of vehicles. Earlier, the speed limit for vehicles was 100 km per hour. Now they are lowered to 80 km per hour. For heavy-duty vehicles, the speed limit has been lowered to 60 km per hour. This decision has been taken because heavy vehicles take some time to stop their movement as they are heavy. The latest rules and regulations on speed limit will be applicable for the next two months.

Coming to smaller vehicles like cars speed limit is now lowered to 60 km per hour from this month till February. Trucks and buses will now run at 60km per hour. Those who won’t follow the rules will be eligible for a fine or a penalty.

Lately, a lot of people were witnessing a lot of mishaps on the noida expressway along with dense fog making it difficult for passengers to travel. The time of winter is always been a difficult challenge, especially around the highway areas as dense fog makes it less visible to see for drivers.
