Central government approves Greater Noida West Metro project, work to begin soon

With the latest updates, The Noida-Noida Extension Metro Project’s new project on the Aqua Line has been approved by the central government after so much wait. Recently, Uttar Pradesh sent a detailed project report (DPR) to the Central government to inspect, and the Ministry of Urban Development sent the proposal to the Public Investment Board (PIB). 

Noida latest updates

As per the latest reports, the project has been approved by PIB and the central government. They will also be investing in it. The construction work on the project can be initiated at any moment. 

Greater Noida West famously known as Noida Extension and Noida will ripe the maximum benefit through this new initiative as it will connect more areas with Aqua Line. The whole construction will be worth almost Rs 2,682 crore. 

Project description

The construction will be done in two phases, in its first phase the official will include building as well as elevating the station that will be made on a 9.15 km long route. It includes constructing stations on Sector- 123, 122,12 and 4. The rest of the 4 stations will be made in its second phase. 

Project’s budget

It has been estimated that the project will cost Rs 1,100 crore. Noida Metro Rail Corporation will incur it (NMRC), Central Government, Noida and Greater Noida Authority and the Uttar Pradesh Government. The civil construction will incur 500 crore rupees. 

Additionally, there are also plans to build a 4- story metro station in Gaur City. If this is achieved then, Gautam Buddha Nagar will be the first city in the whole nation to offer such a public facility. The project will be completed by the end of December 2024. It will join Greater Noida Extension to Sector 51.
