33-year-old Lucy Letby works at the Countess of Chester Hospital’s neonatal ward. Sadly, she was harming the infants there. She was eventually taken into custody after it was determined that she was to blame for the deaths of these infants.

Then, on August 18, 2023, a jury that determines guilt or innocence found her guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder six more. They claimed she wasn’t responsible for two of the attempted killings at a location known as Manchester Crown Court.

Lucy Letby comes from Hereford. She hurt the newborn babies using various methods, like putting air into their veins and milk into their stomachs through special tubes. It’s said that she even mixed insulin with their IV fluids, hurt them physically sometimes, and messed with their breathing tubes.

In a viral video, the police detain the Cheshire Constabulary nurse after suspecting that she may have committed murder. Lucy Letby is seen in the video sporting a blue tracksuit. She remains silent when the policeman tries to put her in a car.

While assisting Lucy to the back seat, the policeman says, “I’m just going to put you in the back seat over here. Just take a seat in there for me, Lucy. I’ll move that seat forward a bit for you.” During that conversation she replied that she recently underwent knee surgery, just to point out that a comfortable seat is important for her through the journey.

Since everyone she worked with was aware that there were more deaths than previously, Lucy Letby was questioned about the deaths occurring in the newborn ward, as shown in the video in which she was interviewed.

She also added, “They told me there had been a lot more deaths and that I’d been linked to somebody that was there for a lot of them.” The officer cross-questioned her about the deaths being related to her, to which she replied, “We’d all just noticed as a team in general, the nursing staff, that this was a rise compared to previous years.”

Later through the video we also get a hint that Lucy kept denying the murders being related to her in any way. After she was found guilty, other people in the neonatal unit were also investigated and however, none of them were found guilty of being related to this heinous crime.
