California Man Michael Farchi Files Lawsuit Against Las Vegas Resort Over Scorpion Sting in Testicles

A South California man is suing a luxury resort in Las Vegas after he was stung by a scorpion in his testicles.

The man was stung not once but three times and had to seek medical intervention in a hospital.

Michael Farchi of Agoura Hills, California checked into a luxury resort, The Venetian’s Palazzo Tower, on Dec. 26 in Las Vegas along with his family. He retired to bed and was soon asleep.

However, he was woken up by a stinging pain in his private parts. A scorpion had gotten into his boxers and by the time he could understand he was stung three times.

He rushed into the bathroom and found the scorpion still clinging to his underwear.

Michael Farchi sought medical help where it was confirmed that he was stung by a scorpion.

Michael Farchi brought to the attention of the hotel staff about the incident and informed them that he was stung on testicles while asleep.

However, the hospital staff did not treat the matter seriously and were very dismissive about the whole incident. 

Describing the incident Michael Farchi said that the pain was excruciating and months later he is still facing medical issues.

He also said that he had no inkling how the insect got into his room and said he suspected that it was already present in his bed when got in.

Michael Farchi is now filing a lawsuit against the luxury resort for an unspecified amount.

His attorney stated that no one should endure such pain due to a scorpion bite let alone their private parts.

Michael Farchi and his attorney also released the picture of the scorpion which appeared to be about one inch long.

On its part the Luxury resort told a Las Vegas TV station that all protocols were followed in the resort.

The resort also said that they paid the fare for the stay and Michael Farchi was not required to pay anything.

The luxury resort The Venetian’s Palazzo Tower is one of the premium and the most opulent resorts in Las Vegas.

There are three most common scorpions which are found in Las Vegas.

Of these the most dangerous and venomous is Arizona Bark Scorpion.

The other two scorpions- Emperor and Desert Hairy scorpions are less dangerous.
