Netizens Aren’t Happy With Twitch’s New Plans Of Improvement For 2024
Twitch reveals its big plans for the year 2024, and people are not happy about it. Some think it’s not change, but just adding more advertisements to the platform, and they have increased the price for subscriptions.
With inflation and the way things are getting pricier every day, people are worried about the financial impact of subscribing to an app.
Twitch has quite a few big decisions for 2024, which the CEO of the platform revealed online because, as per them, the platform is not doing very well monetarily, so they’ll need ways to bring in more revenue to the company fiscally.

Twitch has already implemented the increased price for subscriptions in some countries, and expects to increase in other areas soon.
Dan Clancy’s post read,
“We increased the price of Tier 1 subs in Australia, Canada, and the UK, and raised the price of all subs in Turkey–the first time we’ve raised sub prices since their inception. We anticipate raising sub prices in some additional countries later this year. We’ll make sure to give you plenty of notice before we introduce additional changes in this area.”
This all started when Dan informed that the modifications were coming because they wanted stricter rules against harassment, to improve the mobile experience, and more.
When it comes to the latter, creators and users are worried about having to use two different applications for mobile and consoles.

People are also facing issues with their phones heating up and getting disconnected during streams when they use the app. Dan’s post also revealed that they are working on making the mobile experience better for their users as well.
For us small/new/returning streamers… you should create a category for “new/returning streamers” to help with discoverability. And everything ive hear/read about people’s turbo experiences are horrible. So maybe work on that more? And the apps are a joke at this point.

They are anticipating adding new and improved features like a discovery feed, pinch-to-zoom, and new story features on the app.
Some new streamers are questioning the discoverability of the streamers; will they remain the same, even if they’re bringing changes to things no one asked about?
However, the netizens and streamers are not happy with their decision as of yet.
X user @sliceofanime stated that he/she would focus on Youtube instead of Twitch.
