Anurag Thakur congratulates Sudha Murty on her Rajya Sabha nomination

BENGALURU, March 8 (IANS) Union Minister Anurag Thakur congratulated Sudha Murty on her nomination as a Rajya Sabha MP. Thakur praised Murty’s achievements and thanked President Droupadi Murmu and PM Narendra Modi for the nomination at a Viskit Bharat event in Bengaluru on International Women’s Day.

Thakur expressed pride in Sudha Murty’s nomination and hailed her as a symbol of ‘women power’. Sudha Murty, a prominent philanthropist and educationist, is the wife of Infosys founder Narayana Murthy. PM Modi lauded her nomination, citing it as a tribute to ‘Nari Shakti’.

During the event, Thakur highlighted the Modi government’s accomplishments over the past decade and compared them to the previous UPA regime. He criticized the Congress for policy paralysis, which he claimed damaged the economy and benefited the corrupt at the expense of the common people.

Sudha Murty’s nomination to the Rajya Sabha has garnered widespread support and recognition, with many lauding her contributions to society and her appointment as a representative in the Upper House. Her presence is seen as a significant addition to the political landscape, symbolizing the empowerment of women in positions of influence and decision-making.
