Gangster Mukhtar Ansari claims he was slowly poisoned and seeks court intervention

Lucknow, March 22 – Mafia don-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari has filed an application in the Barabanki court, alleging slow poisoning by the Banda prison staff. Ansari, who had to appear before the court through video conferencing on Thursday, skipped citing poor health. His lawyer submitted the application on his behalf, stating that Ansari was given poison in his food recently, causing him pain in his limbs.

In the application, Ansari claimed, “Around few days ago, my food was poisoned.” He has requested the setting up of a medical board for his examination. The court has fixed March 29 as the next date of hearing for this case. Mukhtar Ansari has been seeking proper medical examination due to alleged slow poisoning in the prison where he is currently lodged.

The application filed by Ansari’s lawyer Randhir Singh Suman highlights the urgency of the situation, urging the court to address the issue promptly.
