IPL 2024: Captain Samson leads Rajasthan Royals to 193/4 after overcoming early setbacks against LSG

Rajasthan Royals (RR) scored an impressive 193/4 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) with skipper Sanju Samson playing a key role by unbeaten 82 runs in the innings. The valiant inning was marked by a strong 93-run partnership with Riyan Parag for the third wicket.

The match kicked off with RR electing to bat first at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Opening with Buttler and Jaiswal, the team faced early setbacks as Haq dismissed Buttler but Jaiswal continued the aggression with two consecutive boundaries off Khan.

However, Jaiswal’s slaughter was cut short as Khan took his wicket, followed by Parag stepping in and providing solid support to skipper Samson. Despite some quick dismissals, the duo marked the match with aggressive shots against LSG bowlers.

Parag’s quick 43 runs and Samson’s unbeaten 82 were the highlights of the innings, with Samson reaching his maiden fifty against LSG in just 33 deliveries. The skipper’s six maximums and three boundaries were crucial in steering RR to a competitive total of 193/4.
