Winning start for Jambusaria, Agrawal, and Ootam in CCI Billiards Classic

In a thrilling start to the All-India CCI Billiards Classic 2024, seasoned cueist Nikhil Ootam emerged victorious over Akshay Gogri in the opening Group-D match. Ootam’s experience shone through as he secured a 500-429 win, showcasing his skill and composure on the table.

Despite lack of match practice, Ootam capitalized on every opportunity, including a substantial break of 64, while Gogri had two decent runs of 59 and 50. In another match, Rohan Jambusaria displayed top form with a century break of 157 and five other substantial breaks, sealing a comfortable 697-312 victory over Rishabh Kumar in Group-F.

Aditya Agrawal also started strong with a break of 199, leading to a 645-391 win against Maharashtra No.1 Mahesh Jagdale in Group-C. Meanwhile, Loukic Pathare triumphed over Raajeev Sharma 569-361 in a Group-G encounter, showcasing steady play with multiple runs to secure the victory.

In other results, Rovin D’Souza beat Devendra Joshi in Group-A, Rishabh Thakkar defeated Shahyan Razmi in Group-E, and Aditya Agrawal emerged victorious over Mahesh Jagdale in Group-C. The competition promises more exciting matches and displays of skill as it progresses.
