55 individuals aged over 120 years found on Tamil Nadu voter list

In Tamil Nadu, 55 voters are above 120 years old, with 27 men and 28 women in this age group. The total electorate in the state is 6,23,33,925, with a higher number of female voters at 3,17,19,665 compared to 3,06,05,793 male voters.

Additionally, there are 2,06,574 voters above the age of 90, with 99,439 men and 1,07,128 women, and 14,44,851 voters above the age of 80. The age group of 40-49 has the highest number of voters, at 1,37,96,152, followed by the 30-39 age group with 1,29,00,263 voters.

Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo mentioned that the commission has received seven lakh requests from those above 85 years to cast votes from their homes. Differently-abled persons have also sent requests to facilitate their voting process.

With the state gearing up for elections, the Election Commission’s data highlights the diverse age groups and demographics of voters in Tamil Nadu. The commission is prepared to accommodate the needs of elderly and differently-abled voters to ensure a smooth voting process in the upcoming elections.
