IPL 2024: GT secures victory against SRH with Mohit’s three-for, Sudarshan and Miller’s knocks, winning by seven wickets

In a thrilling encounter at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, the Gujarat Titans emerged victorious against the Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets. Mohit Sharma’s brilliant 3-25 and a crucial 64-run stand between Sai Sudharsan and David Miller secured the second win for the Titans in the IPL 2024 season.

Playing on a two-paced pitch, Mohit Sharma showcased his skills with cutters and slower deliveries to restrict SRH to 162/8. The Titans bowlers, including Azmatullah Omarzai, Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmad, and Umesh Yadav, contributed with crucial wickets to keep the opposition in check.

Chasing 163, Sai Sudharsan and David Miller batted sensibly to guide GT to victory. Sudharsan overcame a slow start to make 45 off 36 balls, while Miller fought through a leg injury to remain unbeaten on 44 off 27 deliveries. The duo’s composure ensured a successful chase for the Titans.

SRH’s top-order batters all made useful contributions, but none could convert them into substantial scores. In contrast, GT’s top four batsmen scored above 25 runs each, paving the way for their victory. The Titans’ balanced performance with both bat and ball led them to a well-deserved win on home turf.

The match saw several key moments, including impactful performances from Abdul Samad, Abhishek Sharma, and Shahbaz Ahmed for SRH, while GT’s bowlers and batsmen stepped up when it mattered the most. With this win, the Gujarat Titans continue to show their potential in the IPL 2024 season.
