Deutsche Open: Yow Ng setzt sich in der Viertelfinalrunde gegen Senthilkumar durch

National squash champion Velavan Senthilkumar faced defeat against Malaysian fourth seed Eain Yow Ng in the men’s quarterfinals of the German Open, a USD 50,000 PSA World Tour Bronze event on Friday. The match ended with a scoreline of 7-11, 6-11, 4-11 in favor of Yow Ng.

Yow Ng expressed, “It’s always been a close affair (between us). For some reason, every time he upsets a few players to get to me.” The Malaysian player acknowledged the tough competition from Velavan Senthilkumar but highlighted his ability to play the big points better which helped him clinch victory in three games.

This marks the fourth consecutive win for Eain Yow Ng against Velavan Senthilkumar in PSA events. The Malaysian world No 22 displayed his strengths and determination to secure a spot in the semifinals of the German Open. Despite the loss, Velavan Senthilkumar put up a strong fight against his opponent.

The Indian world No 59 showed resilience and skill throughout the match but was unable to overcome the challenge posed by the higher-ranked Malaysian player. Eain Yow Ng’s strategic gameplay and ability to perform during crucial moments ultimately led to his triumph in the quarterfinals of the prestigious tournament.
