Kim Jong-un of North Korea Vows to Deliver Lethal Blow to Enemies in Confrontation

The North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has pledged to utilize all resources to deliver a “death-blow” to any enemy engaging in military confrontation with North Korea, as reported by state media on Thursday. Kim made this statement during his visit to the Kim Jong-il University of Military and Politics on Wednesday, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) quoted by Yonhap news agency.

According to the KCNA, Kim emphasized the importance of being prepared for war now more than ever before and insisted that North Korea must be fully ready for a conflict that should be won without fail. He also stressed the need to train new military talents who are loyal to the party central committee and possess the necessary skills to overpower the enemy in various aspects.

North Korea has been actively conducting weapons tests this year, including launching cruise missiles from land and sea, as well as carrying out firing drills with super-large multiple rocket launchers. Recently, the country announced a successful test-fire of a new intermediate-range ballistic missile with a hypersonic warhead, highlighting the advancement in their missile technology with solid-fuel and nuclear-capable missiles.

Kim’s visit to the military university and his remarks regarding military preparedness and training of new talents come at a time of heightened tensions in the region, showcasing North Korea’s commitment to strengthening its military capabilities. The continuous weapons tests by the country have raised concerns among neighboring nations and the international community, leading to increased focus on the developments in North Korea’s arsenal.
