Ram Navami: Ayodhya’s Ram temple to remain open for 19 hours

The Ram temple in Ayodhya will be open for 19 hours on Ram Navami to accommodate the expected influx of devotees. The temple will be open from 3:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. with brief curtain closings during ‘bhog’ offerings to Lord.

In preparation for the occasion, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has urged distinguished guests to visit after April 19 and cancelled special pass bookings for April 16-18. Everyone will follow the same entrance procedure to see Ram Lalla.

Devotees can queue up for darshan starting at 3:30 a.m. on Ram Navami, with arrangements in place until 11 p.m. Mobile phones and valuables are discouraged to avoid inconvenience. Prasar Bharati will live telecast the celebrations at the temple on Doordarshan.

To facilitate pilgrims, a service center has been set up at Sugreev Quila. The Ayodhya Municipal Corporation will install 100 LED screens across the city for live viewing of the Ram Navami festivities at the Ram temple.
