Noida latest updates
The inputs written on the Noida Authority’s website stated that an area of a minimum of 500 sqm will be compulsory at every facility for this project. The water required for washing the car will be managed under the provision of the UP Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) and Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) stated by the officials. Earlier the officials were only planning to build only 4 automated car-washing facilities under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Model with treated water. The Noida officials even provided land as well as treated water to agencies at no additional cost. Till now, 4 companies have shown keen interest. They are being asked to submit a detailed report consisting of mechanisms with which they can provide sustainable and feasible solutions.
The project will be under Swachh Survekshan-2023 which aims to provide environment-friendly, high-quality and affordable car washing to local residents while using treated water. Currently, the city has 8 lakh four-wheelers registered. Plus, the facility will be charging at a reasonable rate.
