Chilla elevated road gets UP cabinet nod on Delhi- Noida route

Noida– In the latest development, on Tuesday, the UP cabinet has given the green signal to Chilla Elevated Road. A much-awaited project in the area but due to a shortage of funds the project was halted. The upcoming road will clear the Delhi-Nida route and will incur Rs 801 crore. Once it is built, the road will be 5.96km long starting from Noida-Greater Noida Expressway near Mahamaya Flyover to Mayur Vihar in Delhi. With this, you can avoid all the traffic in Sectors- 14,18,14A,16,15A, and 15 in Noida city.

It will be made in six lanes and will be quite beneficial for the daily commuters who used to get stuck in traffic during the rush hours in Noida and Delhi. Chilla Road will allow you to cross the border of the city in just minutes. Commuters from Delhi i.e. Akshardham, Sarita Vihar, Kalindi Kunj and Mayur Vihar along with Greater Noida and Noida will hugely benefit from this. Ritu Maheshwari, CEO of Noida Authority stated yesterday that the project half cost will be incurred by the authority, rest will be given by the Central government’s Gati Shakti scheme. The scheme helps in providing funding for any kind of infrastructure project.
Once cabinet approval, Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation Ltd (UPSBCL) project construction agency will start issuing tenders for the road. Vijay Rawal, authority senior manager- “Under the arrangement, UPSBCL will provide technical supervision while the Noida Authority will oversee the project and release the funds,”.
One of the commuters added- “It will significantly reduce my travel time to and from Delhi as the elevated road will be signal-free,” said Shashank Singh, a resident of Omicron-3 (Greater Noida). He had to cross the borders of both the city to get to his office.
