Egypt, Jordan, and France call for immediate ceasefire in Gaza

Egypt, Jordan, and France have issued a joint call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, urging the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2728. In a joint article, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, Jordanian King Abdullah II, and French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized the urgent need for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza. They stressed the dangers of an Israeli offensive on Rafah and called for increased humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian population.

The leaders also underlined the importance of releasing all hostages and supporting negotiations for a ceasefire, hostages, and detainees.
