“Southern Charm” star Kathryn Dennis Detained For Three Car Collisions, Charged With DUI
“Southern Charm” star Kathryn Dennis has been detained for three car collisions only six months after being named a suspect in a 2023 hit-and-run case.
The former Southern Charm star, 32, was arrested by Goose Creek Police in South Carolina for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police who arrested Kathryn Dennis noted that she appeared possibly impaired, with glossy eyes and a breath that smelled heavily of liquor.
Southern Charm’s Kathryn Dennis Detained for DUI
Since Kathryn was arrested and charged with DUI, she will have to appear in court on June 4.
The former Southern Charm star was stopped by the Goose Creek Police Department in Berkeley, South Carolina, on May 20 just after 10 p.m. local time and was issued a driving ticket, according to a police record.
The star has been charged with DUI for transporting open alcohol. She was later detained for driving under the influence.
This is not the first time that the star had a brush with the police.
In October, a vehicle registered in the star’s name was involved in an alleged hit-and-run incident in South Carolina.
According to a statement by Lance Corporal Nick Pye of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the alleged vehicle, an SUV, hit a school resource officer who was directing traffic in front of Whitesville Elementary School.
The injured officer was treated on-site.
The vehicle, however, did not stop after the collision. Later investigations eventually located the vehicle at Dennis’ address. However, the South Carolina Highway Patrol did not identify who was driving the automobile.
Kathryn Dennis starred in Southern Charm for eight seasons and left the show in January 2023. Dennis has a son whom she shares with ex Thomas Ravenel.
Dennis jointly shares the custody of her son and daughter, Kensington, with Ravenel. She has publicly stated that she is not able to be with her children all the time and she finds it tough.
Kathryn Dennis parted with Ravenel, 61, in 2016, and the couple has been embroiled in an ugly custody battle over their children. They have often traded charges about their on-and-off relationship.
The Berkeley County Detention Center just released Kathryn Dennis’ mugshot.
KD has been struggling with substance abuse in the past, and this was one of the reasons why she lost custody of her kids in 2016, after testing positive for marijuana and entering rehab.
