Wipro and Indian Institute of Science to Launch Online Master’s Programme in AI

Wipro Collaborates with IISc for AI Program

Bengaluru, March 28 (IANS) – IT major Wipro has partnered with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) to offer employees a Master’s in Technology course in artificial intelligence (AI). The program will focus on AI, ML/AI foundations, data science, and business analytics to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in these areas.

Sanjeev Jain, SVP and Global Head, Business Operations at Wipro, stated, “GenAI is evolving rapidly, and selected employees will benefit from the knowledge at IISc to develop capabilities for future opportunities.”

Selected employees will have access to IISc faculty, online lectures, libraries, and alumni networks, as well as mentorship from professionals in Wipro’s data, analytics, and AI practice. Eager employees must pass rigorous entrance tests and evaluations designed by IISc to participate in the program.

Professor Rajesh Sundaresan, Dean of Division of EECS at IISc, mentioned, “The curriculum for working professionals meets the same high standards as our full-time programs, with faculty delivering content online to teach students foundational concepts and real-world applications.”

The collaboration aims to bridge the skill gap in emerging technologies and equip professionals with the necessary expertise to excel in the field of AI.
