2,500 Verified Subscribers Will Get Premium Service for Free

New Delhi, March 28 (IANS) – Elon Musk, the billionaire behind Tesla and SpaceX, announced that X users with 2,500 verified subscriber followers will get Premium features for free. Those with over 5,000 verified subscriber followers will receive Premium+ for free. The news was well-received by his followers, prompting some to seek clarification on the criteria.

The announcement came directly from Musk himself, who stated, “Going forward, all X accounts with over 2,500 verified subscriber followers will get Premium features for free and accounts with over 5,000 will get Premium+ for free.” This move aims to enhance the user experience for those with a significant following on the platform.

Some users expressed confusion regarding the distinction between verified followers and subscribers within the context of X subscriptions. One user commented, “If it’s the second option, it seems like I only need 4,796 more subscribers.” Another pointed out that having a high follower count is not enough – subscribers must also meet the minimum threshold for access to the Premium features.

With over 550 million monthly users on X platform, Musk’s decision to offer Premium benefits to top-tier creators is expected to have a significant impact on the platform’s dynamics. This move follows Musk’s recent announcement to enhance X platform by introducing the ‘Grok’ AI chatbot for more paying subscribers, aiming to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

The future of X platform looks promising as Musk continues to implement changes and offer incentives to its users. The decision to provide Premium features to accounts with a substantial subscriber base demonstrates Musk’s commitment to rewarding content creators and fostering a thriving community on the platform.
