A year from now, where will our education systems be?

Education is a crucial key to a child’s growth and overall mental development and also for the progress of our societies. Education undoubtedly plays a crucial role in a person’s life and contributes to enabling them to stride at the same pace in this rapidly evolving world.

Education unlocks new opportunities not only for oneself but for everyone around and holds the potential to narrow down the inequalities and misbeliefs in the community or society.

Right now, we’re living in a period where uncertainty is so dominant that the question “Where Will Education Be 1 Year from Now?” arises, rather than getting an answer, two more questions greet us – and the whole situation slips into a deep confusion that whether we are asking about “When our education system will be getting back to normal”? Or “How much evolved our education system will be in 2022”?

In this phase of never-ending uncertainty, from 2020 we’re just trying to find out answers for both the questions. Be it the students or the academic institutions, everyone is wandering that when this situation will and uncertainty will leave our way.

Since last year, COVID-19 Pandemic has brutally affected our education systems but if we try to take this situation in a somewhat positive way “for our education system” is the whole situation completely on a negative side? Well, we can say that disruption is definitely happened in numerous major ways, but can we say that the definition of education has somewhat changed now, especially in our country? Can we frame this situation as “Disruption with Evolution for” for the education systems in India? We’ll leave this to you.

But as everything is atypical and confusing, even today no one seems to be well adapted for this change. Talking about students, majority them are walking forward with a dull and a lenient approach with their studies and adding to it, schools are struggling to keep things on track with the new digital learning requirements.

Conventional methods for learning have drastically changed now, Live classes on online platforms, digital notes and assessments, and live examinations are the new ways of learning now.

This is appreciable to see that from teachers to students everyone is evolving from the conventional, learning new ways, technologies and applications to cope-up with the demands of the new education systems and methodologies.

Lectures and academic classes are now being delivered to the students with the help of online and live video classes. Another popular platform like YouTube stays on top as a free way to acquire education for students, but despite the presence of these highly accessible resources, are these accessible to everyone struggling with their education and learning?

Who will think about those students who remain untouched with digital learning platforms and resources? or the problem can be a usual one like, low network receptions in many remote areas that may have internet connectivity speeds so poor that a student can’t even access the live or video classes.

And most majorly, what about those children who are disabled or are from disadvantaged communities like slums?

We need to realise that, the above-mentioned situations are being faced by millions of students across the world and particularly in our country, India.

So, “where will be us as a country 1 year from now?” appears to be a strongly necessary question as compared to our primary topic, as this pandemic’s never-ending uncertainty is somewhat diluting our youth’s and country’s future by making us educatively paralysed. What’s depressing is that our government always stays unsettled with their regulations and decisions.

What about schools in education hubs of India?

When education is discussed for our country, how can the education hubs stay out of the discussion? In India, there are 2 known education hubs in India responsible to educate tens of thousands of students from different states or across the country. Education hubs are mainly known to provide the best coaching for tough competitive exams like JEE, NEET, and many other different exams. It is a surprising fact that both the major hubs are located in Rajasthan.

Kota is well known to be the first to hold more than 1 lakh students and Sikar is the second largest education hub in India till date.

As the concerns about education among students and their parents are tremendously rising, academic institutions are working very hard to create digitally strong and well-equipped learning platforms to cater their students and cope-up with this tough situation’s demand.

Out of everything, this is inspiring to see that Sikar is pacing nicely with our country’s digital transformation demands and is holding with the pace as Kota to make available the best accessible digital learning experience to their students.

The one thing that stays more inspiring that, some of the known best schools in Sikar were already providing the top best completely digital education platform to their students’ since 2018 and that’s 2 years ahead before this COVID situation. The known school behind this visionary idea was Matrix High School established in 2018 in Sikar is excellently making digital education happen with the most advanced built online learning platforms.

Rethinking Education.

Taking this situation in a disagreeable way any further and considering oneself a victim of these unfavourable circumstances is only going to hold us behind in this fast-evolving world. Taking the right actions to set ourselves free from this situation is our only way out.

Our actions till now in response to this COVID-19 situation has effectively proved that with the help of technology we can evolve in the way we teach and learn.

Taking this situation as a chance to improve our conventional ways to consume education and getting ready for the upcoming tech demanding future can make our children ready for a new digital-first world that demands tech related skill sets and an updated thinking mindset.

Right now, in order to succeed in personal and professional lives, students crucially need social and emotional skills and along with-it mental support is necessary for them. If schools manage to plan their curriculum with an aim to provide practically enriched knowledge and a more elastic tech-driven learning experience for students, rather than just to make them ready for exams, this can really help to make them mindfully well equipped for actual real-life challenges.

Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu Exposes Fake Twitter Account Spreading Rumors on Exam Results, Shares Screen Shot On Social Media

It was another case of fake news in which a rumor spread that the results of Assam Higher Secondary exams had been released. The fake news spread quickly, requiring the intervention of Assam’s Education Minister, Ranoj Pegu, who exposed the details of a fake Twitter account spreading rumors about exam results.

On Friday, Assam’s Education Minister, Ranoj Pegu, took to social media to debunk the fake news that the Secondary Exams results of Assam had been released. The Minister clarified that the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) are responsible for declaring the exam results, and they will be declared according to their predetermined schedule.

Additionally, Minister Ranoj Pegu shared screenshots of the fake Twitter account bearing his name and allegedly spreading false news about the announcement of results for the HSLC & HS Examination, 2024. The screenshots revealed that miscreants had attempted to spread the fake news that the results of the Secondary Exams would be declared on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Minister Ranoj Pegu also clarified that the claims were entirely false and once again exposed how easily such false information can spread on social media. This underscores the need for readers to remain vigilant and verify information from credible sources.

SEBA and AHSEC are tasked with conducting the Class 10 and Class 12 exams, respectively. The Class 10 matric exams concluded on March 4, and the Class 12 higher secondary exams concluded on March 13. The results will be made available on the official websites of the board — sebaonline.org, resultsassam.nic.in, and ahsec.assam.gov.in.

The Assam Board of Secondary Education is expected to release the Assam Board 10th Result 2024 during the first week of May 2024. However, no official announcement has been issued by the Assam Board yet.
