Greater Noida may soon have a new Bollywood theme park featuring 3 Idiots and Sholay installations

Greater Noida is gearing up for a new Bollywood theme park featuring installations from famous movies such as 3 Idiots and Sholay. It will be a waste-to-wonder kind of park that will showcase installations made from junk vehicles and scrap metals. It has recently been proposed to Greater Noida West. It will be spread over 10 acres of land and the estimated cost of the overall project is worth Rs 26 crore.

According to the officials, The proposed Bollywood-themed park will be made at D Park through a public-private partnership (PPP) model and will be given the next 20 years to operate. The project’s tender will be circulated after taking financial approval from the CEO. “We have finalised the rates of different items like sculptures, beautification, and entertainment facilities among others,” said an official. Apart from installations, various entertainment facilities will also appear at the facility.’

According to the proposed plan, the park will have sculptures from many hit movies such as Aamir Khan in 3 Idiots and Jai-Veeru riding a bike from Sholay along with famous prototypes of film productions made solely from scrap metal. 

‘Natural trail of artificial zoo theme park’ near Okhla Bird Sanctuary

Additionally, the Noida officials are also planning on a similar project. The officials are planning to build a “natural trail of artificial zoo theme park” in Sector 94 Mahamaya Flyover on COM basis i.e construction, operation, and maintenance. The project will be worth of Rs 15 crores and contractors are yet to be finalised. It will be spread over 25 acres of land near Okhla Bird Sanctuary. It will be made under the recreational green category in the Noida Authority’s master plan 2031.
