LOS ANGELES: Actress Emily Blunt shared a bizarre incident involving ‘Oppenheimer’ star Cillian Murphy, who smashed his head open while shooting the film. Murphy injured himself while fluffing a pillow she gave him to help sleep.
Blunt, Murphy, and Robert Downey Jr appeared on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live,’ where she recounted the incident. Blunt mentioned, “He woke up in the middle of the night…misjudged where it was, and smashed his head open on the bedside table.” Murphy added, “I was having a great sleep, and I had this amazing pillow, strange bed, strange table, (and) bang.”
The actor further revealed that the movie’s make-up artist helped to mend the wound. “We were getting up at before it was bright, like at 2 a.m. or something, 3 a.m.,” he stated. Despite the incident, Murphy mentioned that the injury wasn’t visible in the final movie.
