Neha Kakkar's early musical journey is a 'roller coaster ride of learning'

Mumbai, Feb 24 (IANS) Embarking on her musical journey at a tender age, singer Neha Kakkar has fondly reminisced about the roller coaster ride of learning and enriching her talent. The 35-year-old, known for hits like ‘Nikle Currant’ and ‘Shona Shona’, will now be seen as the super judge on the upcoming season of ‘Superstar Singer’.

Starting to perform at local gatherings and religious events at the age of four, Neha Kakkar had auditioned for ‘Indian Idol’ in 2006, but was eliminated early on. Despite this setback, she has made a name for herself in the music industry. Reflecting on her journey, Neha shared, “I too started my musical journey at a young age and since then, it’s been a roller coaster ride of learning and enriching my talent.”

Excited about her role as the Super Judge on ‘Superstar Singer’, Neha expressed, “It is not only a great learning ground but also the perfect guiding force for grooming the young musical talent that our country has to offer.” She hopes to inspire and help refine the craft of the young singers on the show, believing in their ability to create magic with their singing.

In addition to Neha Kakkar, music icons Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Salman Ali, Mohd Danish, and Sayali Kamble will also be part of the show as Captains. ‘Superstar Singer 3’ is set to premiere on March 9 on Sony, promising a platform for young talents to shine and grow under the mentorship of experienced artists.
