Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' to chart through Gujarat's tribal belt on March 7

The ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, will enter Gujarat on March 7, passing through tribal areas. The Yatra, currently on hold, will cover 467 km in Gujarat before entering Maharashtra on March 10, focusing on tribal-dominated seats.

Scheduled to enter through Jhalod in Dahod district, the Yatra aims to cover a strategic path through Gujarat’s eastern tribal belt. The route will traverse seven districts including Dahod, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, Bharuch, Tapi, Surat, and Navsari, covering 14 of Gujarat’s 26 Lok Sabha seats.

The Yatra, temporarily paused due to Rahul Gandhi’s commitments in Europe, will resume its stride into Gujarat on March 7. The Congress’ emphasis on tribal-dominated seats in Gujarat’s eastern region is evident in the planned route, which bypasses urban and political hubs like Ahmedabad, North Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch.

The ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ signifies a significant political strategy by the Congress to engage with tribal communities in Gujarat, aiming to bolster its presence in the region. The Yatra’s focus on tribal areas highlights the party’s commitment to addressing the issues and concerns of these marginalized communities in the state.
