Indian-Americans confident BJP will return to power under PM Modi

Indian-Americans in the US are confident that the BJP will secure victory in the 2024 elections in India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party is actively engaging supporters in the US to target a record 400+ seats in the upcoming election.

Parveen Chopra, founder of ALotusInTheMud.com, stated that Indian-Americans see PM Modi as a strong leader and believe that the BJP will return to power. A survey showed that a third of Indian-Americans favor the BJP, with strong approval for PM Modi’s performance among Republicans and Hindus.

The Indian-American community, comprising 4.4 million people, has become the second-largest immigrant group in the US. PM Modi’s outreach to the diaspora has strengthened India’s ties with the US, with significant progress seen in economic and diplomatic relations.

Gobind Munjal, National President of the Association of Indians in America, highlighted the achievements under PM Modi’s leadership and the increase in global respect for India and NRIs. The AIA, founded in 1967, aims to represent the hopes and aspirations of Indian-Americans in the US.

Alok Kumar, Chairman of Bihar Foundation, USA, praised PM Modi’s proactive diplomacy and economic reforms that have enhanced India’s image globally. The success of missions like Chandrayaan and India’s G20 presidency showcase the country’s progress under PM Modi’s regime.

Expectations are high for PM Modi to lead India towards further growth and development, with projections of becoming a USD 7 trillion economy in the next decade. The NRI community hopes their concerns, such as online voting and property disputes in India, will be addressed post the 2024 elections.
