Karisma reveals her selective process: ‘I need to be really excited to leave my house’

Karisma Kapoor is all set to make a comeback with her role as an actress in the upcoming murder mystery ‘Murder Mubarak’. At the trailer launch in Mumbai, Karisma expressed her selective approach towards work, emphasizing her desire to take up roles that excite and motivate her. She also shared her experience working for an OTT platform and her character in the film.

Karisma Kapoor, known for her iconic roles in hit films from the 1990s, discussed her decision to do selective work. She stated, “I am lucky and thankful that I am in a position where I can say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to work.” She emphasized the importance of being motivated and excited to go on set, hinting at her preference for interesting and challenging roles that push her boundaries.

Reflecting on her experience of working in the web series ‘Mentalhood’ for an OTT platform, Karisma highlighted the difference in approach and preparation compared to traditional film sets. She expressed her enthusiasm for playing an unusual character in ‘Murder Mubarak’, describing her role as a real, quirky, and eccentric actress from suspense films. Karisma teased that the audience will see a different side of her in the upcoming film.

‘Murder Mubarak’ is a mystery thriller film based on the novel ‘Club You To Death’ by Anuja Chauhan. Directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, and more. The film is scheduled for release on Netflix on March 15, promising an intriguing storyline and stellar performances from the cast.
