Subodh Bhave to direct film adaptation of Krushnaji Prabhakar Khadilkar’s renowned play
Actor-director Subodh Bhave is set to direct the upcoming musical film ‘Sangeet Maanapmaan’, paying homage to legendary Marathi writer Krushnaji Prabhakar Khadilkar’s celebrated play. The film is a grand musical featuring the biggest names in Marathi cinema and is set to release on November 1 in Maharashtra.
Subodh expressed his honor in making a film on the celebrated play, stating, “The film is a grand musical which is set on a massive scale and it sees the biggest names from the Marathi film world come together. I hope that I am able to do justice to the film since I am directing it as well.”
He also mentioned the responsibility he feels, saying, “It is a huge responsibility and just like my fans have given immense love to my films so far, I hope they enjoy watching this film too on the big screen.” Presented by Jio Studios and produced by Jyoti Deshpande, the film will see Subodh in a dual role as actor and director.
‘Sangeet Manapamaan’ is anticipated to be a major success with its grand scale and star-studded cast from the Marathi film industry.
