Ministry reports Palestinian death toll of 31,923 in Gaza

In Gaza, the Palestinian death toll has exceeded 31,000, while over 74,000 have been wounded in ongoing Israeli attacks. In the past 24 hours alone, 104 Palestinians were killed and 162 injured, with airstrikes targeting homes and apartments across the region.

Israeli forces have intensified military operations in the Al-Shifa Medical Complex for the third consecutive day, resulting in casualties and detentions. The army claims to be conducting precise combat operations while avoiding harm to civilians, patients, or medical personnel.

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated that over 90 “saboteurs” have been killed, with hundreds of suspects questioned and detained for further investigation. Strikes were also carried out in central Gaza and Khan Younis to eliminate perceived threats.

The Israeli offensive is in retaliation for a Hamas incursion into southern Israel in October 2023, where over 1,200 individuals were killed, and more than 200 were taken hostages. The conflict continues to escalate, with both sides maintaining their positions and engaging in military actions.

This ongoing violence underscores the deep-rooted tensions and conflicts in the region, with civilian casualties mounting and no immediate resolution in sight. The international community remains concerned about the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza, as the death toll and injuries continue to rise amidst the ongoing hostilities.
