Taylon Nichelle Celestine Shot People in Bonifay Claiming God Told Her To Do So; Arrested 

A shooting incident that occurred in Bonifay, Florida on April 8, Monday is all over the internet as the suspect has been identified. The suspect of the shooting incident is 22-year-old Taylon Nichelle Celestine. 

TimesNow reported that the 22-year-old fired multiple shots on Monday from a rifle at vehicles. Moreover, she claimed that God asked her to do so because of the eclipse.

The patrol officers of Florida highways initially responded to a report about an active shooting that took place in Bonifay. 

Allegedly, a 22-year-old female, who checked out from a local hotel told the staff while leaving the place that she would be out for a shooting spree. She added that God instructed her to go for shooting. 

According to multiple media reports, Taylon Nichelle Celestine was “driving a purple Dodge Challenger with Georgia plates.”

Crime and Charges on Taylon Nichelle Celestine

Allegedly, when the 22-year-old was passing through the 1-10 interstate highway in her vehicle, she fired multiple shots at another vehicle. Moreover, she also struck it several times. 

In the incident, two people died from getting shot. In the wake of this, police recovered a 9mm handgun and an AR-15 rifle from the woman. 

CBS News reported that the 22-year-old suspect went 115 miles from the Alabama border on the interstate highway. Then from the Florida Panhandle, she moved towards the west. 

Department said in a statement that, she fired at a car passing within five miles several times. The suspect also sprayed auto glass and injured the driver’s arm.

Taylon Nichelle Celestine moved her focus towards another vehicle, hitting the driver in the neck. The injured driver was shifted to the hospital and given treatment. 

Thus, the 22-year-old was charged with improper discharge of a firearm, aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon and attempted murder. She is currently under police custody, meanwhile booked into the Holmes County jail.
