Dominic James Burris, 18 YO Arrested In Minneapolis Nudieland Mass Shooting

Dominic James Burris is the name of the suspect in the Nudieland Mass Shooting that took place in Minneapolis. The 18-year-old suspect was charged on Tuesday. 

James Burris’ court hearings took place in a juvenile court where he faced felony charges for killing one person in the gunfire incident. In the incident that occurred last year in August, also left several others injured.

The 18-year-old hails from Hinckley. However, when he shot numerous people, he was 17 years old. 

According to MPR News, when the investigation into the mass shooting incident was going on, another male teenager was apprehended apart from James. However, information about the identity of another teenager involved in this case is not available as of now. 

The incident took place at a Minneapolis punk show. Nicolas Golden aka August Golden, a 35-year-old man, passed away in the incident. 

August Golden could not survive the gun wounds. Notably, he was a significant part of the local punk community. Thus, this incident drew attention across the globe. 

The shots were fired at the people belonging to the punk community, hence it left a traumatic effect on the people belonging to the minority group.

Dominic James Burris aka “Scoober” is an 18-year-old teenager held as a suspect in the mass shooting incident that occurred last year in August leading to the murder of Golden August. 

On Tuesday, James was presented in juvenile court. As per the witnesses, on the evening of August 11, 2023, around thirty to fifty individuals “were attending a show at the south Minneapolis house venue known as Nudieland.”

Both the suspects reached the venue after ten o’clock at night and began shooting, reported Fox News.

Dominic James Burris has pled not guilty. However, he is facing six counts of felony assault, abetting second-degree murder and one charge of aiding. 

Information on this education, family, background, profession, and personal life has not yet been made public. However, prosecutors have appealed to transfer his case to an adult court.
